PROGRAM OVERVIEW

During this case-based challenge, our esteemed faculty will discuss guidelines and supporting evidence related to contemporary management of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Key topics will include assessment of patient quality of life (QOL) and strategies to incorporate current management recommendations and recent clinical trial data into clinical practice. Faculty discussion of a patient case will reinforce strategies to optimize treatment decisions for each individual patient.

Learning Objectives

TARGET AUDIENCE

This educational program is designed for allergists, immunologists, otolaryngologists, and specialty nurse practitioners and physician assistants that manage patients with CRSwNP.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss how to apply evidence-based guidance to assess the severity and QOL impact of CRSwNP
  • Describe how to incorporate current guidelines and expert recommendations into the positioning of biologic therapy, sinus surgery, and oral corticosteroids for the treatment of patients with CRSwNP
  • Summarize clinical trial data on the efficacy and safety of biologics and surgical options for patients with CRSwNP
