The meeting is intended for all healthcare providers involved in the care and management of patients with COPD.

THE 2019 INTERNATIONAL COPD CONFERENCE IS HOSTED BY THE TEMPLE LUNG CENTER IN COLLABORATION WITH THE GLOBAL INITIATIVE FOR CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE LUNG DISEASE (GOLD).
Temple Lung Center (TLC) is a national leader in the clinical care of advanced lung disease. As a national hub for research, The TLC is actively involved in the advancement of lung disease treatment, harnessing innovation and expertise to discover tomorrow’s standard of care.
The TLC is part of Temple University Health System (TUHS) – a $1.6 billion academic health system dedicated to providing access to quality patient care and supporting excellence in medical education and research. Located in the Philadelphia region, the TLC is comprised of Pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine; Lung transplant, thoracic surgery and the Center for Inflammation and Lung Research.
The Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) works with health care professionals and public health officials around the world to raise awareness of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and to improve prevention and treatment of this lung disease. Through the development of evidence-based strategy documents for COPD management, and events such as the annual celebration of World COPD Day, GOLD is working to improve the lives of people with COPD in every corner of the globe.
GOLD was launched in 1997 in collaboration with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, USA, and the World Health Organization. GOLD’s program is determined and its guidelines for COPD care are shaped by committees made up of leading experts from around the world.
