PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Pathogenic germline BRCA mutations profoundly influence breast cancer risk, with carriers facing lifetime penetrance exceeding 60% and heightened vulnerability to subsequent malignancies. Genetic testing is crucial for informing prophylactic measures, surgical decisions, and therapeutic strategies, yet remains severely underutilized. This expert-led, evidence-based webcast series provides surgeons and advanced practice providers with essential skills to identify testing candidates, provide comprehensive patient counseling, and offer personalized therapy – ultimately improving outcomes for patients with hereditary breast cancer predisposition. Join Drs. Mamounas and Robson for the first webcast to hear their insights on integrating updated testing guidelines into practice.
