Integrity Continuing Education, Inc. and Global Education Group, together with our Educational Partners, are excited to host the 2023 Nurse Practitioner Virtual CE Summit (NPS). TARGET AUDIENCE

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Session 1: Nurse Practitioners… Past, Present, and Future: Staying Relevant and Resilient

  • Learning objectives to come

Session 2: Exploring the Nurse Practitioner Continuum of Care in Assessing, Diagnosing, and Managing PAH

  • Delineate signs, symptoms, and risk factors that should raise the index of suspicion for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)
  • Identify patients who would benefit from referral to a cardiopulmonary specialist or pulmonary hypertension (PH)/PAH specialty center to facilitate earlier diagnosis and treatment
  • Design treatment plans that utilize current and emerging therapeutic regimens, including dual and triple combinations, and consider appropriate delivery mechanisms of individualized care of patients with PAH

Session 3: Nurse Practitioners on the Frontlines: Integrating Multi-Cancer Early Detection Testing

  • Describe the science that underlies multi-cancer screening tests and the rationale for their application
  • Differentiate among new and emerging blood-based multi-cancer screening tests
  • Employ strategies to reduce barriers to effective population-scale cancer screening, including health and sociodemographic disparities, and challenges in patient engagement
  • Utilize cancer screening integration tools that increase patient engagement, improve patient outcomes, and promote continuity of care

Session 4: Cross-Setting Strategies for Improved Identification, Diagnosis, and Management of HoFH

  • Contrast the estimated prevalence versus the number of patients diagnosed with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH)
  • Explain the cardinal symptoms and strategies for early identification of homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH)
  • Discuss recommendations for cascade screening for HoFH and indications for appropriate referral
  • Discuss the role of LDLR-independent treatment strategies for patients with HoFH

  • Complete the posttest and evaluation form at the end of the program

A statement of credit will be issued only upon receipt of a completed activity evaluation form. Certificates will be sent via email within four weeks of receipt of the competed evaluation form.
