Integrity Continuing Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continung medical education to physicians.

The purpose of Integrity Continuing Education’s (Integrity CE) continuing medical education (CME) program is to develop and implement ethical and effective educational activities that improve physician competence or performance. Each of Integrity CE’s CME activities is developed based upon a careful and thorough needs assessment and gap analysis, which is then linked to the planning process, learning objectives, and course design of the educational activity. These activities are designed and delivered with the intended result of enhancing physician competence or performance.

Content Areas

Integrity CE’s content is focused on evidence- and clinical practice guideline-based recommendations to improve physician competence or performance. The content of Integrity CE’s activities encompasses both primary care and individual medical specialties as appropriate to the educational activity.

Content areas in which Integrity CE has experience include: allergy & immunology (allergic rhinitis, anaphylaxis, chronic idiopathic urticaria), arthritis (gout, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis), cardiovascular (dyslipidemia, stroke, hypertension, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary arterial hypertension), central nervous system (insomnia, depression, epilepsy), hematology (anemia of CKD), infectious diseases (meningococcal disease, gram negative infections, surgical site infection), obesity, oncology (non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, non-small cell lung cancer), osteoarthritis, pain management (acute pain, chronic pain, migraine),  respiratory (asthma, bacterial pneumonia, COPD), type 2 diabetes mellitus (basal insulin, SGLT2 inhibition), and women’s health (fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, stress urinary incontinence).

Target Audience

The target audience is comprised of US healthcare providers and includes physicians, physicians in training, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other allied healthcare professionals in general.

In addition to primary care practitioners, target audiences from past programs include the following specialists: allergists, cardiologists, diabetes educators, endocrinologists, clinical immunologists, gastroenterologists, hospitalists, infectious disease specialists, neurologists, obesity experts, oncologists, otolaryngologists, pain specialists, pediatricians, psychiatrists, pulmonologists, and surgeons.

Types of Activities Provided

In order to accomplish our educational goals, Integrity CE uses different activity formats depending upon the content, venue, audience, and the desired result of the activity. Types of activities provided include: live programs (symposia, workshops, grand rounds, roundtable discussions, satellite broadcasts, and teleconferences) and enduring materials (CD-ROMs, monographs, newsletters, physician assessment tools, patient education materials, and web/podcasts).

Expected Results

Integrity CE expects that practitioners who participate in our CME activities will report improved competence and express intent to implement acquired strategies in practice immediately following their participation in a CME activity. Additionally, we expect that all practitioners who participate in our CME activities will be able to effectively apply strategies acquired as a result of our activities in their own practice, leading to improved practitioner performance.

Integrity CE is committed to assessing the impact and effectiveness of its CME Program. Integrity CE uses methods of assessment to evaluate the extent to which our educational activities change physician competence or performance. Integrity CE uses pre- and immediate post-activity evaluation tools to assess changes in competence or performance as a direct result of participation in our activities, where applicable. Integrity CE regularly conducts follow-up outcome assessments to measure changes in physician performance in their own practices.

In summary, our mission is to develop and implement cutting-edge CME/CE initiatives featuring evidence-based medical and scientific content of the highest quality with the goal of improving healthcare provider competence or performance.
